Heriot-Watt University, Malaysia is an international campus of the prestigious British university Heriot-Watt University, founded in 1821. The campus is located in the modern administrative center of the country – the city of Putrajaya , and since its opening in September 2014, it has been offering students world-class education in various fields.

Required documents for admission
International applicants must provide the following documents:
  • Copy of International Passport: Passport must be valid for at least 16 months from the date of entry into Malaysia.
  • Academic documents: certificates, diplomas and transcripts with official translation into English.
  • English language proficiency certificate: IELTS, TOEFL, MUET or proof of study in English are accepted.
  • Passport size photographs: as required by the university.
  • Proof of financial solvency: documents confirming the availability of sufficient funds for education and living expenses.
  • Signed Letter of Acceptance: Once you have received an offer of admission, you must sign and return the letter of acceptance along with the required documents and payment.

Registration and administrative fees:
  • Registration fee: RM 500 (approximately USD 120).
  • Visa Application Fee: RM 2,960 (approx. USD 710) for most countries; for Indonesian students: RM 3,760 (approx. USD 900).
  • Personal Bond: The amount depends on the country of origin, for example, for students from Europe – RM 1,500 (approximately USD 360).
